There is a member on this forum that has them: tate is his username. He has very good quality birds and has worked hard on them for a long time.

Those are not his.

Those birds have terrible type and I've seen better coloring. Waste of money. I agree, Ralphs (TATE)birds look better. He's worked hard.

Okay I take that back. I just looked at eggbid nd saw this auction http://eggbid.com/listings/details/index.cfm?itemnum=1204608091 and that is what I thought you were refering to. My computer takes to long to redirect links so I webnt strait to eggbid... Sorry

If you compare the two auctions, you will see there really is no comparison

Looked at the tater57 birds and they are much better in both type and coloration. They have a ways to go especially in terms of type but they are clearly a "work in progress'. The others are just chickens.

Those chickens in the auction really do look like they crossed two different breeds and called it a Cochin.
At least Tate look a lot like Cochin's.
