wow did the snow go away fast!

I'm jealous of your mild weather!

Today I had to trudge through three feet of snow to get to the coop, shovel out of in front of the door and brush about a foot of snow off the feed bin. Its 8 degrees here right now with a high of 34 today I think. The forecast all week is snow, snow, snow, snow, snow, snow, snow......

Thru Sunday according to the weather man! I heard them say once that their accuracy is approx. 75%. I'm hoping that they are incorrect and the 75% thing will hold true this week and we'll get sunshine instead of more freaking SNOW!

Yesterday I couldn't find my ducks but I could hear them. They used a snow bank and was able to hop up on the roof of my coop and bask in the sun. Cute but I feel sad that my animals are taking to higher ground due to all the snow

Winter is still alive and well in southern Manitoba!! Today is a bright sunny day, but a cold -11 F! It's chilly, and usually I'm OK with winter until March, then spring fever sets in. But reading all your posts about how warm it is, just happens to be more than a poor girl can take! Send some southerly winds my way!!

Ok yesterday we had rain and it melted most of the snow-and I swear I heard thunder yesterday! We are having flood warrning out in some parts of the state. It snowed today but not much. I am totally sick of the snow and everybody here is really ready for Spring.

Today (and yesterday's) weather looks like this:

I'm tired of snow. How long before it warms up? Our normal highs are around 30 degrees. Hmmmm. That would be nice. We are seeing lots of negatives and single to teens for highs. This is February isn't it?

this warm spell only gives us more ice here in northwest CT. everything that is melting today is only going to freeze again. a zamboni couldn't make better ice on my driveway than weather like this.

but it does look like an early spring is heading our way. i can't wait.
i can deal with the cold temps and snow ~ no problem.
but i just can't stand any more ice. the last few storms have been all ice storms.

i swear we have a base layer of at least 2" of ice already.

*We're all huffing & puffing all blowing warmth your way as fast as our sweating brows will allow-- Don't want us to get heat stroke, now do ya???
