Wow! eatting alot more since relocating

I put my 28 6 week old chicks and 4 ducks outside about a week ago. They have gone through at least 25 lbs of food since then. I don't know if they are knocking it out of the feeder and than scratching it into the dirt or what, but wow that is a lot of food. Maybe I should start rationing them.

That is not really alot for 28 chicks. I went through at least 150 lbs for 10 when they were in the house and it will only get worse as they get bigger.

I noticed a real increase in feed use after I let mine go outside during the day. I thought about it and they are getting so much more exercise and fresh air that they are bound to eat more, just like we do when working outside.
