WOW its been a while

its been almost a year since i was last on here, thats crazy. hope everyone is doing well!! we got some new hens, sapphire gems to be exact, and boy are they full of personality!! if you know me, you may remember my posts about my chicken Maxine, who we lost to a hawk, and im still grieving to this day.

hope i can see some familiar faces back here though!

Best wishes with your Sapphire Gems! I lost my last SG this summer, and you're right -- they have a lot of personality. My new flock additions include two Sapphire Splashes and a Sapphire Olive Egger; I really like the Czech girls!

Well, you'd think the splashes would be gorgeous, wouldn't you? As with any hybrid, nothing is guaranteed. My two girls are Pure White. Still nice girls. A little more shy than their coop mates.

Glad I also snagged another pair of Czech chicks in the spring -- Calico Princesses. They truly are BEAUTIFUL!
