Wow Nifty!

People shouldn't post that stuff in the first place, those that do will get warnings and then if they continue they will be banned from BYC.

So, the best thing to do is not to post the adult innuendo stuff from the start and if you, or someone else does, make sure it is edited before it is reported or a BYC staff member finds it or the thread could be shut down.

So, this is business as usual:

1) Don't post stuff that isn't appropriate for BYC
2) If you see a friend posting something that isn't appropriate PM them a kind note to edit / remove it
3) If you don't want to send them a kind note, report the post ASAP so our staff can remove it.

If stuff is removed before it is quoted 20 times and sparks 50 other inappropriate posts, there is a higher probability that the thread will remain open.

I guess I've just nor had the pleasure of seeing any posts on BYC that were so bad my 6 year old couldn't read (doesn't mean they don't happen ofcourse), just know the worst I've seen them get is people being forced to use the same local threads and talking over eachother! Seen that get mighty tense just the the other day!

Ok, but the problem is WHAT is clean?

Nothing I said or read yesterday is something that I wouldn't say in front of my (very adorable) 3 y/o or be offended if my smart alec 18 y/o said. Nothing was R rated. I read the sticky, but since the Pregnant People thread is going happily and I've not been warned for saying anything over there, I figured the sticky wasn't really followed given as the thread is alive and well and the sticky is not in the rules.

Ok, so I have a standard now. I'm fine with following it.

But the rules also VERY clearly state no religious or political talk. Yet I see multiple signatures that are religious or political, and that's acceptable. I won't post the picture of the above mentioned adorable child because it was at a political party (plus privacy and all that) because I don't want to bring it into the picture because I can tell it's against the rules.

So where is the magic line so I know what to follow?

You both probably didn't read or see it because it was reported and removed

Funny that you say our "VERY clearly state no religious or political talk" because they absolutely DO NOT!

Our rules, and I'll properly quote them, state:
We strongly discourage religious and political topics

So, it sure looks like they are allowed, but discouraged.

We rarely have problems with people not knowing what is and isn't appropriate. The problems are usually that people know something isn't appropriate and post it anyway.

I think the staff allow that because you can't reply to signatures. If somebody has an issue with a signature, you can PM them, and it stays off the forum.

To the staff: Did I get it right?
