Are we the only ones that look to gun laws to determine whether we will move to a different state or not?

You can buy had guns at the flea market in OKC. classified ads ect. You got cash you can buy one. They are on public display for everyone to see. Don't think its against the law here but you know this is the south.

There isn't a waiting period here unless they have some sort of red flag show up on the background check. When I bought my 9mm a few months ago it only about 30 seconds and my application was appproved and I walked out with my gun.

Gun = personal property.
Dog = personal property.

Pretty sure a gun-for-dog swap would work just fine around here.

Not saying I'd be one to engage in such a trade, mind you, but I don't think there would be anything illegal about it, per se.

There is no waiting period here in Ok unless you buy from a store or gun dealer. Private party sales are not required to do paper work?

{I guess it may be all computerized and there may not be a waiting period from stores but they are required to do paper work}

A lot of states allow private sales of handguns with no government paperwork. The normal restriction is that the seller must legally own the gun and cannot knowingly sell to anyone that they have reason to believe is not legally eligible to have one. People buy, sell and trade guns all of the time. It's ashame that a poor dog is involved. Pets should be family, not currency.

ROFL....my DH and I are thinking of moving out of state and I wanted to go to Montana. He researched it and found out that they have the easiest gun laws! Sounds like AZ is out now!

No. Any state that wants to control your right to bear arms wants to control a lot more than that.

Why is Arizona out now?

Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is about the guy trying to swap anything (except his kids) for a pistol. Many gun manufacturers are sold out of the standard models and have waiting lists, but now they won't even take names for the waiting list! Heck, my husband has waited more than 3 months for a concealed-carry holster because the guy has become swamped. This isn't about the Craig's list guy being weird for wanting a pistol. LOTS of people want pistols and can't get them right now. I bet a lot of them would gladly swap something of value for a pistol, and it's not with bad intentions. What should he swap? His mother-in-law? Heeeyyyyyy........
