Wow!!! Tempature regulation!

Today was on the warm side for sure.
I observed one of my broodies regulating her eggs temp during the hottest portion of the day, by hovering over her eggs, rather then sitting on them, for a couple of hours or more.
Pretty cool, huh?

I'd say!!!! That is really awesome. I have noticed some things like that happening with my broody too. I find it amazing and perfect. How they Know is astounding too. I sit and watch my girl as she rotates her eggs and is also careful of the little ones who have already hatched. Tonight I observed that she had put an egg right under her neck/breast with the air cell side out. I saw moisture on the egg and wondered if this was her way of controlling the humidity?? In any case, it is truly a miracle and it is beautiful to see and watch.
