By the way I was just up there wed. for a dr appt for dh but not enough time to do all the things we want too....and we don't have an animal feeder and water. We never get to stay away from our house. I always say to my dh that we need to stay the night up there always so much we want to do and not enough time in one day.

and this is why i rent, own my truck and dont have credit cards - bc when the dakine hits the fan or comes crashing down - they (the bank) are gonna want it all back if you owe!

So right. I swear I'm never going to get a credit card

Although I kinda take after my father, he's forever scrutinising every cent of his spending and not allowing us to buy things we don't need.
He's always blaming an unexplained spend on my poor mother.

Probably but the last big drop we lost nearly 80k. Should have pulled out awhile ago but stupidly decided to wait it out. I'm. A little afraid to call the broker in the morning and find out where we are now.
How many times does a person have to be burned before they say enough? We are about at that point.

I'll just ship my teens to ya for a day or two to tend to the birds then you can come up here and play.
We are going to glacier at the end of the month. Borrowing mom and dads tent trailer. I have moments I regret selling our big RV. But it was to much for me being the lone driver (hubby isn't safe to drive something thy big ) and the gas was ridiculous.

The American econmey truely scares me. If it tanks, and Europe you know the rest of the world will follow

I don't understand how this all could've happened. I sure hope the Canadian government has been more careful.
I have an American friend who moved up here, and says are taxes are way higher, he always wondered when he came to visit, how are roads are so nice, and parks etc, will fewer people per capita? (SP) Once he got his first Canadian pay check he understood...

I pray every day that are neighbors to the south pull through ok.

Also for your interest, shopping in the USA, with our dollar where it's at is becoming fabulas.. I know a lot of people who drive over just to fill up..

All of my investments are in food, seeds, livestock, firearms, and soon solar power. Other than that there are no investments that are worth anything.

And a few miles of barbed wire on spools in case things get bad enough to secure things a bit.

Things like this are funny, while some people plan for the end of the world others make a fortune on the market.

Hubby is th one trying to make a fortune, I'm of the be prepared mindset ..
I sadly believe that one day the economy will completely collapse and we will have to be self sufficient.
Unfortunately we live in a city so we are limited in what we can grow and raise. When the ducks haven't eaten my garden most of it gets eaten fast. We do have a ton of farms around us so are able to get a lot of fresh for canning.which I'm thankful mom taught me.
Between my parents and my Food storage I think the 8 members of Our family here in town would be OK for a year.
I do wish Hubby would be more active in this with me, but the most hes done is be OK with the chickens and ducks, and taught the kids gun safety and take them target shooting
