Wrath's Marans

If you need to reduce the numbers feel free to convince one to fly across the Atlantic.
Feel free to come get 1 or 5.

11 Marans cockerels at the moment. 4 Silvers and 7 BCMs. The wife seems to have convinced me to keep the monstrosity Blue guy around with Ozzy the Black Silver.
We've had a slight warm spell and the wind is much calmer today so scrambling to get the runs properly winterized to replace the hob cobble wind breaks.

I wish I could.

If I ever come to the states I may just have to bring back some ‘hard boiled eggs’…

I have some real quiet cockerels, they'd be easier to ship :gig They wouldn't mind being in a carry on either.

 hey, they are a dual purpose breed right?
Quiet is good because they won’t blow the cover that I shouldn’t even have any!

Dual purpose: stealth and nice eggs

Broody #20... W/W's third this year.

Squeezing one last hatch in before new year. Mine refuse to lay in the winter, never mind go broody!
Yes, I sold all the pullets and day olds from Copper and Christy (OE), so it was perfect timing and hopefully I'll get a few more of each to grow out, be nice to see another Blue or two from Poppy x Christy.

I'm still getting a dozen or two eggs a day, and I have 3 broodies :th I had a 4th but I finally got her to break, now to do the remaining 3. I might be convinced to let them sit on eggs the first week of February so they'd hatch after the worst of the winter weather.

I'm maybe getting 8 eggs a day. None from Kings coop and none from Poppys coop now that I've moved Christy back over into Kongs.

Are you running lights? I'm letting mine take their break, they've earned it.
