He's got good structure to him. Like his body.

Do share the others :)
I've got a soft spot for him, his mom Doro passed this summer. She layed a beautifully egg. I had sold off 2 of her sons before she passed so I kept him and have 2 of her daughters that are just as lovely as her and looking like her egg genes passed to both of them.

Ermine Ameracauna x EE

@2ndTink says he might be pure. I had a hatching bag come open and the chicks got mixed up.
Seeing this photo, he's Ermine x EE, he has leakage, I didn't see any leakage on any Ermine x Ermine that have been hatched. But, He should have 2 blue egg genes plus that dominant white gene so will be a fun one for anyone working on egg colors.

Question at this age - do the shredded feathers cause you much worry?

Reason why I ask my blue hens on some grow outs have had the shreded feather. But it goes away after first molt usually.
I've been told not to worry until after molt. I also have a roost that angles into the wall and I believe he might be parking there at night which might be causing it. I haven't confirmed yet if that's the case or not.

I'm standing at door, roost angles just to my left. This was a hobcobble quick coop.. need to build proper poopboards yet. But this one thing I enjoy about the barn...I can really use anything for a wall and ceiling and call it a coop. No weather/predator proofing required.

Guy front and center, and the guy to his right look really good.

Really enjoy the ermines btw. They bring a smile to my face for whatever reason.

I tried to get more Ermines coming, but my breeder shut the pen down. I think she wants to increase her Marans numbers.

Can't blame her for that wise move!!
