Lil Jessie cracked an egg yesterday, just the outer shell, but I pulled it before it could make a mess and got her moved down to the floor now into a broody cage. She got upset during the move and came off her nest, when she came back I redirected her to her new spot, she didn't take it very well and wanted out, so I blocked off both sides and covered the cage with a drop cloth and watched her until she settled in on the nest. Took the drop cloth away an hour before dark and she seemed happy on her 7 eggs again. Hatch day is next week Wednesday the 14th. I timed this with Brinsea hatching Tuesday if I need to put some day olds under her.

Set shipped eggs last night and added some of mine to fill up the 360.
Total numbers on site at the moment with all 3 incubators going with 79 plus Lil Jessie's 7 ---86 eggs and 4 momma's with 19 littles.

What do you do with all of those you don’t keep?
I’m envious-My husband would have a stroke for me suggesting that many hatches. I filled my NR360 with BBS Marans, some mixed with Bielefelder roo for a lady who just wants chicks of any kind and hubs, head bowed, developed a noticeable slump to his shoulders. That poor guy.

I sell. I'm a nice market area. Cockerels I start selecting at 18 wks. Pullets I wait for egg color and select thru them.

What hatching eggs don't sell I have a customer that buys all the rest. I started selling day olds this year and both previous hatches were sold before hatch. 10 of the 17 BCMs in this upcoming 360 hatch are sold.

I will say, you got a slow start this year but you're catching up fast

I've been too busy with the results of all my incubator hatches this spring I've been considering cutting back on breeds again, but I can't decide which to let go, I have a lot invested in all of them!

I think you can easily set all 3 several times yet this year!
