I honestly didn't know until I just went back and there she was again. We've had some scuffles here and there and there's been movement on the roosts since Joannie the head hen passed. She always roosted on the right side of Kong.

Does Kong put a stop to the squabbles? I’ve noticed with my rooster, Gomez, he’ll put up with it for a while before intervening. Fred on the other hand…if a hen sneezes too loud he’s screaming. I swear Fred was born old and grumpy lol.

Roost time drama...no. All out fights for dominance, yes he steps in. Usually just wing dances one or the other, but I've seen him go after one with a hard peck to the head or he mounts them, if they don't stop.

There’s 7 of them!! I have to pick her up give her a little shake, to get all the babies outta there. Kinda like you would a piggy bank.

I’m assuming your cockerels are all together..any fighting in the coop? And how do you go about introducing a new cockerel to the group?

I see as more a mating ritual or herding.

Yes the 3 are together. The BCMs like to scuffle when out free ranging but Poppy breaks it up. But it's settled down some now that I lock Kong and Kings coop up when they're out so now they run around looking for girls and there is none.
