He's the biggest of the group, so far I'm liking him very much. Extra pleased I have the Black Silver cockerel also, as my whole obsession started when I saw the Black Silvers

Hatch day started 2 days early for the eggs from our @2ndTink.
Ermine Ameracaunas and some mixes and 2 little bantams. 14 total out so far.

Black is venturing out with her 3 Raven babies. Took me 3 broodys to get 6 Raven babies this year.

Hatch day is tomorrow and Raven has 5 out so far of her eggs from Copper.
This is a 1st test mate hatch for Kong x Copper as I've been reluctant to hatch any as she had the most copper of all the older hens so I was worried they're going to be over colored, but she lays a nice dark egg. So we'll watch these as they feather out.
Only way to find out.....

Ummmm yeah.....

2 more broodys to go. Shadow the BR is sitting on Poppy x Solo. Hopefully none by Kong. And Copper has gone broody (again) so I'm putting more Solo eggs under her. I don't have a lot as she's been sporadic laying in this heat so maybe 6 if I'm lucky. I'm only getting maybe 3 eggs a day from the Black Coppers, as quite a few are molting and/or the heat.

P/O and W/R are in with Poppy and laying still but I don't want that Silver/Gold mix.

Will you be setting more incubator eggs or are you 100% doing broodies the rest of the year?

I'm about done with the incubators unless something irresistible comes along.

As far as the broodys I'll more than likely keep hatching. I'd like a few more from Momma (only have Chloe) for example. And then it depends on how these grow outs are looking if I hatch more from the girls like W/R and Lil Jessie.
