@Chooks man sorry for all the questions as soon as you return. You were at some point writing a book on marans, right? How’s that going.
I’m also writing one actually.

Do you have a synopsis (is that the right word?) of what it's theme is? Genetics, general info, how to breed.....? Or like you say ''a little guide"?I’m sorry for you. Praying this year is like to you.
I’ve already written a 120,000 word novel, so hopefully a little guide to marans should be a piece of cake! (Hopefully…)
I haven’t written an overview but I’ll waffle about my plan for a bit. It will be more than a little guide to be fair. I want to at least acknowledge the history and origin of the breed, the go into the science of both good type and egg colour, treating those as kind of twin pillars. Then it will move on to the actual standard (both French and English) with diagrams, then breeding strategies, tips, and recipes (such as GCMs from BCMs and SCMs).Do you have a synopsis (is that the right word?) of what it's theme is? It will be a big task really, plus I’m writing my second novel. But slowly and surely I’ll get there. Tips and stories from the marans thread would be great additions too.
