In the past I've seen some wreaths made with eggs, and think it might be fun to make one using the different colored eggs that my hens produce. Does anyone here make wreaths? Is there some type of preservative one should use on the egg shells? I've never done anything like this so any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

Sounds like a fun project. I decorate eggs and have used several types of finishing with success. Try a polyurethane type spray. Go outside and put the egg on a kabob stick that is stuck into a block of 2" craft foam. Gently spin the egg so only IT is spinning (not the foam lol) and spray a light coat while spinning. Wait about an hour between coats. I usually spray 3-5 coats total. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the tips, Sianara.

So sounds like something like Krylon spray would work for egg projects then. I know some folks will dip stuff in Future floor wax for preservation but that seems a bit heavy for eggs.
