My neighbor's hens lay eggs with wrinkled ridges on them. The inside is normal. I've never seen anything like it. Has anyone ever had this and do you think it is a sign of disease or poor nutrition? The hens seem very healthy.
Extreme heat can possibly cause wrinkled eggs. Not much can be done about it. However, Infectious Bronchitis can cause wrinkled eggs as well, usually accompanied by watery whites inside the egg. There is normally respiratory symptoms as well.
