Wrong eggs

So my hens are 5months and I'm waiting and watching and...

My cockatiel lays an egg!

All I need, a broody cockatiel on sterile eggs. It does make me laugh, at least.

Keep your chin up! They will lay sooner or later. It should be any time now.....I know, it's hard to wait. I have 19 pullets/hens and I am only getting 3-5 eggs per day. Not all of my pullets have started to lay yet (they were hatched on June 5th, 2010).

i know the waiting is hard. i had my girls for months and now out of the 9 i am finally getting 6-8 eggs a day!!! we still are waiting for all 9 in one day

but i am very happy with what we are getting now. with winter and less daylight i though maybe my BR and EE pullets were gonna wait until spring!! then just when i gave up on looking of eggs, we went away for the night and the next day got home way after dark, so i didnt check the nest for 2 days...then went out and had our 1st EE egg and 2 brown ones for the 1st time!! - 1 brown one was in the poop under the roost - which also happened today

but it was a green one! funny bc the EEs always lay in the nest - i guess she was lazy today

My two girly ringneck doves did that too! 4 eggs every month until I popped 2 silkie eggs under.....after about a year of no squabs they turned into the BEST parents every.....
