Wry Disease 5 Week Old Pekin?

Thank you so much for your support and kindness. He has such a kind soul, I want to provide all I can for him. He seems to be more active and more alert. No obvious changes with the twisted neck but he is happy! The vitamin E I am using is 400 mg, do you recommend one capsule twice a day at that mg? I'm hoping that isn't too much? And how long would you continue the B complex at 1 ml twice a day? Thank you Miss Lydia, you are a blessing to so many!

I would keep it at 1 capsule 1x a day. I’d Keep up with the b complex 2x a day for at least a week. Let us know how he is in a week. Hearing he is more active an alert sounds great. With the b complex what his body doesn’t need he’ll pee it out.

I have a jumbo Pekin (well she was supposed to be regular but I think the hatchery mixed in some jumbos) who gained weight I incredibly fast and by 4 weeks was having a hard time walking. Thanks to great advice I received here I was able to reverse her condition. I dosed all the ducklings food with liquid vitamin B complex twice a day. I cut the protein in their food by switching from chick feed to grower, and adding oats, and we made hobbles with vet wrap that held her legs in proper position and left those on her for a few weeks. She gained strength and is now perfectly fine. She is the most wonderful duck, and so worth the effort. I hope you find success in treating your duck as well!

Thank you so much Cori! He is a lot more active than he was. I am not noticing any change with wry neck but he is much brighter. I am so happy, I am hopeful he continues to do well.

Yes ma'am, I am still adding the E. I think this Sunday will make one week. I am giving sunflower seeds, peas and nutritional yeast daily as well. Scrambled eggs about every other day due to time. Is there anything else you would add? Thank you so much Lydia!
