What about giving the duckling some grit? My little duckling, Stevie, had a problem swallowing and I was advised to give B complex and grit. I did both but soon after I gave grit she got better. In my case there was no obvious lump, however her little crop seemed a bit fuller than normal. The experts are on board with providing you support. I would def. go with what they say. They are AWESOME!

Grit is a good, but in this case I don't think it will help because grit only works in the crop. If this is an impacted crop, the grit should not be given, imo.

Someone very skilled at giving oral meds might be okay doing it. If one drop is aspirated that probably means death due to lipoid pneumonia.
