I have less than a week old chick with wry neck. In just five days she has made strides. I quickly started her on vitamin E and selenium and drench. By 36 hours huge improvements. She is back with her flock and running around, eating and drinking. This morning I struggled to find her to dose her again.
Here is my hmmm moment.
While she looked totally fine, after scooping her up, dosing her and then putting her back down her neck flips back up again. A while later when I went back out it was normal.
Is it the stress of picking her up? Dosing her? Why is that happening? I have never dealt with this before.

Continue with the E for a couple more days.

Be aware, though, some E deficiencies are genetic. This means you may need to watch for this to happen occasionally with this individual.

Yeah, that happened to my Dorking. She had wry neck as a baby, then had it again when she is one year old. This time was worse. It took me over two months to treat it. Now I just add vitamin E and selenium to their feed, since it's hard to overdose vitamin E anyway.
