Wry neck or what?

Ok I received in mail some ameracaunas one started to throw his head all the way on middle of his back when he drinks doesnt do it everytime and never when he eats. He acts normal every other way. We started him on polyvisol & vit e wilth selenium a week ago. Others said wry neck could this be the start of it. The neck isnt twisted or funny looking. So far holds head right. He is with others his own age (5 wks) He was in isolation but now back with others. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If it is wry neck how long for vit to be given. Anyone else had this problem please help. Sorry no pics. Thanks

So if he is recovered completely, it is my understanding that the problem is corrected and you could stop them.

Did you mean that he is completely recovered?

I really dont know what he has I was wanting to get others opinion if they may have dealt with this. He has been in vit for a week and he still does it after drinking.

Oh ok...you should check out this thread. Some people mention keeping their chickens on vits for several weeks. But do be cautious as vit E is a fat soluble vitamin and starts accumulating. Selenium might too...I don't know.

Thanks maybe its vit b1 thiamin deficiency then. Whats dosage and for how long.
