Crowing
I haven't gave this little one a name
She didn't start with having wry neck until she was a few weeks old.
I didn't know what her issue was at first because I never dealt with it.
Her head eventually just started just hanging on the ground
I started putting sage in her food and treats until I could get to the feed store to get nutri drench
Sage actually helped a little
I then started the nutri drench she seemed to be doing better and I was hopeful but some days were not as good
So I found out about giving her vitiman E from some help from here.
I give her 4 capsules a day mixed in with her nutri drench and use am eye dropper and I mix some in with her treats which is a dried veggie, fruit and spices treat and sometimes I mix it with eggs and she loves all that
She is a little over 2 months now, and still sometimes its worse than others, head still dragging on the ground but later on she could have it upright, she is eating and drinking and she loves her sister who watches over her, she does her chicken stuff
But i am still concerned
She is a silkie mix.
Its hard to see in the pics buy her head poof is lopsided maybe it's from it sitting in the floor so much because that is the side that leans
Her beak it just a little crooked, the top of her beak goes just slightly to the right but it doesn't seem to affect her
And she doesn't seem to really breathe through her nostrils when she inhales and exhales a spot below her eye and above her nose goes in and out like a little balloon
Again though this doesn't seem to be affecting her
She doesn't seem to be weak, and lethargic
Today laid on the floor with them and she seen me with my camera and popped her head up and walked right over and started checking out my phone, pecked at it, she walked around did a little pecks at her sister, but her sister never pecks her back or does the normal chicken play.
When she is relaxed she seems to remember how to hold up her head
Is there anything else I can do for her, I refuse to give up on her,
