What did you do in the garden today?

I've been feeling unusually depressed the last few days. I yelled at my spouse last night. I'm not sure what I need to do to feel better, but I'm sure it'll pass. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I get in my own head and it's a sort of downward spiral.
You've already gotten good advice. My two cents:

Some moderate exercise, or vigorous exercise, whichever seems more appropriate at the time.
Sunshine, oh my goodness, does that help me!
Music, and singing along. I go where nobody can hear me, and belt it out. Moving to music, whether you can call it dancing or not, helps too.
Time alone, so I don't have to hold anything in is usually a good idea for me.
Making sure I'm eating good food helps, but it can take a few days for this to work if I'm short on a vitamin or something.
Avoiding sugar is a good idea for me. I might get a sugar buzz, but the next day, I can feel the after effects, which are much longer lasting than the sugar crash.

I'm sending you hugs.
:hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs

Do you find, like I do, yourself craving certain foods that just happen to contain what it is your body needs at that time?
I haven't, no. Usually when I'm craving a certain food, it's chocolate or sweets in general. That's not my body talking, it's my tastebuds.

Do you have some specific examples? I'd like to hear more about this.

For me...The last month it's been salad and citrus 🍊.

Extra dark chocolate is healthy, antioxidants . I have a small square with almond butter most days
