Looking for help with my silikie hen, I believe she has wry neck. It all started when she went broody. I noticed she seemed confused and and her neck is now twisted she been in this conditionfor about 4 days. She seem ok some times ,can eat and drink but needs help. I have been giving her vitamin E and egg white with her regular feed. Have her isolated with her eggs. Any advice, how long till she gets better? Should I take her eggs? Want to do what I can too see if she gets better. I dont want to stress her out for that makes it worse! Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks

How old is she? Was she vaccinated for Mareks disease? I would give her 400 IU daily of vitamin E softgels, and include 1/4 tablet of human B complex, since some types of wry neck can be due to thiamine deficiency, head injury, or viruses such as Mareks disease. I would also offer her some moistened chicken feed and a little scrambled egg (for selenium) in a small cup while she is on her nest daily. Has she been broody for very long?

She is about 10 months, yes she was vaccinated. I thought this might have happened when she went broody, and wasn't getting the nourishment she need. I don't believe she had a head injury but the the other flock member were picking on her. This is my first time with this breed(silikie). She been broody for about 2 weeks. I will add the vitamin B.

Thank you!

This same thing happened to my rooster. I took saltine crackers mashed up mixed with Pedialyte and a liquid b12 vitamin complex. Give this to her 2-3 times a day and she should get stronger. The Pedialyte keeps her hydrated and the crackers give her nutrients. I also fed my rooster scrabbled eggs every day which gave him extra nutrition. This fixed my issue and my rooster is still alive and healthy today.
