I have a lone drake that needs some company. I purchased him and a friend from a poultry show and the other drake passed on. I purchased them because I thought they would be heading for the chopping block if they were sent home. Daffy is a gray call who has a small house of his own within my chicken coop but every once in a while he's gets in a hens way while she's sitting on eggs and he's now developing a bald spot on the back of his head where he's been pecked.
He's been living in my maternity ward that I may need as one of my Aussies has gone broody, again. I'm going to build a temporary house for him and mount it up above the chickens so he doesn't get pecked anymore. He really needs a couple girls. I don't need show quality girls, just some company for my boy Daffy.
Thanks....Sara
