wanted 4 pullets, around 4 to 6 months old. I want more eggs, so a good layer please. I have 3 EE's and 3 Cinnamon Queens, want any kind that is a good layer and good around children.

thanks for the replies, I would rather not get the chickens from the Mspca though, because they ask so many questions and really are kind of intrusive when you adopt from them, and you really don't know what situation these chickens come from, or really how old they are. I would rather get them from someone who hatched the chickens or got them from a reputable hatchery.

Also there are some barred rock chicks in Mass. You could test your luck with those, or ask them to just buy hens.
