WTB - Australorp and Buff Orpington hens

I'm looking to start a small backyard flock of about 4 hens. I'd really like Australorps, but would be willing to have an Orpington or maybe another large/heavy breed. The most important thing is that they're gentle, since I have a young child that I'm sure will be around them.

We're just west of South Bend, and I'd be willing to drive about an hour in any direction.
