So I'm gonna post this here since it still pertains to my data. Should I be concerned if almost all my chicks lost weight today? I don't think they had a growth spurt and the only things that have changed are the water, from having added electrolytes to plain, and switching from medicated to non-medicated crumbles.
It can't be the new chicks because they were only added about an hour before weigh-in.

Maybe an initial dislike of the taste of the water+electrolytes?

What percentage weight loss are we talking about?

Sorry I think there may have been a misunderstanding, they used to have electrolytes, yesterday I switched them to plain water. Completely my bad I don't think I explained properly. If your happy for me to do so I could share the numbers for you to see for anything alarming?

Oh gosh, no; I just this morning weighed out what I've been feeding the 11-week-olds! :p (I've been guesstimating and seeing how much they actually eat. Amazingly, it worked out.)

I figured that a change in the taste of their water might have put them off a bit.

Have you weighed them today?

Not today yet no, I weigh every evening at 9:00pm to avoid time bias in my data. I will post here with this evenings results once they are recorded.
It's definitely a possibility that the water changing could have put them off, if that is the case will it work itself out over time? I don't think they should be on permanent electrolytes so I'm a little unsure of how to go forward otherwise

I’m going to make way for baby chick experts here, because as cute as they are, I’ve never hatched chicks. It doesn’t seem like a wise project for an over-scheduled ADHD’er to take on. 😵‍💫😲🤯

But I would think that if it’s a water thing, occasional fluctuations in consumption would certainly work themselves out very quickly.

Awesome thank you for all the help you've provided ^-^
These chicks (both lots, and actually both duck lots too) came from tractor supply so I'm yet to hatch any of my own too
