Just need a broody-prone hen to live out her life as an incubator and mother. My chickens are happy, healthy, organically fed, free rangers on one acre of lush green grass. They have a livestock gurdian dog that keeps an eye out for them when they leave the (secure) coop in the morning. They have the best life simply as pets and egg layers. (I can't bring myself to butcher them.

Even the old ones that don't lay anymore.)

Though they are happy chickens, none want to give up their independent life and settle down and raise a family.

ETA: Location: Western Washington, near the sound.
Thanks!!

I have a lovely little buff ameraucana hen who is a broody little thing - broody right now as I type. I love her to death but I don't love her broodiness only because I feel so guilty for not letting her set. I live in on Hwy 101 north of Hoquiam toward Lake Quinault (WA), my hens are free range and feed all natural feed. If you're interested let me know.
