Hey! We are looking for a cabinet incubator--preferably a Sportsman or Dickey. Ready and willing to pay in the $300-400 range. Let us fund your summer trips and take that unused incubator off your hands! lol

Good luck in your search. We just bought one for $500 that was used very little. Of course, here in the South, it's high season for hatching (well, LOL, it's that year round for this farm!)

Thanks! We'd be willing to go higher for one that was only slightly used, but so far people have only been selling dinosaurs that are falling apart--and still asking $300. And that...not so much. If we need to, we'll give in and buy one new. But I'm still hoping!

Check Craig's List several times a day. I bought a nice one several weeks ago for $350 but I had to nab it as soon as it was posted. I went and saw it within hours of it being posted and the seller told me he had dozens of calls for it already. I was lucky enough to be the first person he let see it!

What, you're encouraging my obsession and giving me permission to hover over the refresh button? I think you may be my new best friend!

No, seriously, that's very good advice. I do check Craigslist, and I'm signed up for Yakaz notifications, but checking more and checking the surrounding area would be a good thing. I don't want to get in a position where I've got more silkie and guinea eggs than bator space!

Could sell you a new redwood Incubator for $500, but the shipping from here to NC would probably double the cost.

There's a guy over in your part of the world who makes and sells incubators. Have you checked with him? His bators are supposed to be good.

Yeah, I'm guessing you're right that the shipping would be outrageous. I think the guy you're talking about is Mr. Dickey, and the one who makes Dickey's, and my only concern with him was I didn't know if he is well enough known that the incubators would have good resell value. Just in case I were ever to, idk, upgrade to a giant incubator or something!

I will probably end up going to him--I just thought I'd make one last ditch effort to find one used!

Yeah, thanks, I was excited at first when I saw those. The Dickey's is a hatcher with no auto turn, but had me tempted and I'm watching it. The Wilson is local pickup only in Ohio, and the Leahy would be at least $550 for me after shipping, probably more, and again has no auto turning capacity. I suspect I'm going to have to break down and buy a new one--or keep picking up hovabators as they come up!

I really appreciate your taking a look, though! Helps me know I haven't missed any. :D
