Five dollars is pretty cheap. i paid $10 each for three month old Red Stars. Gorgeous girls, and they are about ready to lay now.

Never paid less than fifteen dollars for POL pullet, purebred or not.

Too cheap, you will find some old hens or baby chicks.

wow u know i do feel lucky now my wifey found us some production reds for 5 bucks a piece and they are p.o.l

5 dollars is normal around here,here meaning Missouri.
It all depends on location.

Hi, here it depends on what type of hen is being sold.. in most cases we sell for no less then $10.00 each..

once you get your chickens home and If laying daily after, you'l get your money back in about 1-2 weeks worth in eggs per hen.. of course free range in stores go for about $2.75 to $4.00 a dz. depends on brand and so call organic
