Does anyone in Knox, Sevier, Blount or nearby counties breed them or know a breeder?
DD2 has bought a book on g.p. care and is very serious about getting one. Now I'm learning they do best in pairs (she told me this, but I thought it was her trying to milk me for an extra pet).
We've discussed the fact that this is a long-term commitment. Longer even than the hamsters her sister had a few years ago. And she very correctly pointed out that they'd be elderly or gone by the time she graduates HS or shortly thereafter.
She's already saving her $, and would prefer babies so she can raise them up (complete with photos of milestones).
