I'm wanting a few with some color..we love our leghorns.Would like about 6 of each color to hatch out since I cant find any near me for sale. Basically any color but white will work-I have several white pullets now. I'm not in a huge rush thinking the end of the month or anytime next month would be great.OR if your in TN or close and have some already hatched I'm interested as well.

You probably will have to try Sandhill Reservation Center. They have leghorn in everysingle color imaginable. Check their website because they update frequently which breeds are sold out for this year or for specific dates. You can't order online,

you will have to send your check along with your order by mail. Hope this help.

I just googled that and came back with nothing related to chickens.

Yes, that's Sandhill Preservation.

http://www.sandhillpreservation.com/

I have both exchequer and mille fleur leghorns from them. I've also got exchequers from Ideal. The Sandhill birds aren't mature yet, so I really can't compare them to the ones from Ideal, but both are attractive and have done well so far.

I just found 2 red gals today. One didn't get the memo that they are not good Momma's...she has 8 babies with unknown dad that are just adorable and boy is she protective!
I found Sandhill and Ideal already but a few of the others that I want are sold out and my DH will have a fit if I keep ordering in 25's unless I can find them all at one time:rolleyes:
Oh yeah I also dragged home another Rooster a big red leghorn fella that is just beautiful and a few Americana pullets as well.
I'm still wanting some of those "pretty" colored ones so those Mille Fleur's are tempting..got to wait to spring that on dh:D

you dont have to order 25 from ideal...you can order as little as 3 as long as u get 20 dollars worth of merchandice*
but u will get lots of packing peanuts...

If you ever decide to order from Sandhill, let me know. You could probably talk me into sharing an order.....
