Ah WWE wrestling. Haven't watched it in years, but I did date a guy who was a wrestler for local internet shows in New England.
This was back in the early 90's. I met more wrestlers than the average person would have. On my 21st birthday I was honored to spend the night celebrating it with the likes of Shawn Micheals, Hunter Hurst Helmsley, The Undertaker, The Rock, and numerous others. There is a bar in Cumberland, RI called Friendlys Tap it is or was owned by the White brothers two refs for at the time for WWF. Though I think one may have passed away several years ago. I had met Owen Hart on month before his tragic death. That was very said.
Everytime WWF/WWE came to perform at one of the venues in RI we would go to the shows with front row seats and then to bar to mingle and hang with the guys. Most of the wrestlers were pretty down to earth loved to play pool, hated to talk about the wrestling. A few of the newer guys were a bit snobby, but they learned from the seasoned guys to behave.
It has gotten crazy over the last several years, but it is entertainment and still has a huge following.
Here is a good site for wrestling stuff. www.theburninghammer.com
