I have decided to order my geese from Metzers. Since I am up one drake, I am going to order a duck for him too. In order to get the minimum $30 required to have them ship less than 10 birds, I am going to order 2 extra ducks for a total of 5 birds.
After doing all the calculations, I found that to get the exact geese and ducks I want, it would end up costing me the same after the heat pack and shipping as it would cost if I just had them send me my 2 geese with 8 mixed ducks (which I am fine with as long as I get one female (hopefully a swedish or pekin) to pair up with my drake).
On one hand it would be easier to just get what I want and be done with it but on the other hand it would be nice to get my money's worth and possibly make some of it back when I sell the extra's.
So what would you do?
