I just acquired this handsome trio. They appear to be very well built, and have very good type. I believe they are coming out of a molt. They are a year and a half old.I would to know what all you Wyandotte breeders think. They are definitely much much bigger and beefier than my hatchery silver laced. Also would love some tips on breeding these guys closer to the standard. TIA!

I have a blue wyandotte and she is the best hen ever. she is a great brooder hen and is currently sitting on 2 runner duck eggs and 3 chicken eggs. if you need to move her to a separate pen she will adapt very easily.
P.S. what type of wyandotte is the red and white one, I like her color. I will post photos of my hen.

They seem to be very docile. But I havnt has them long.

Nice birds. I'd like to see the hens after they finish growing back tails from molt. The cock is the first I've seen with darker saddle red than is in hackles. Breed for even dark red in both areas.

The trend I'm seeing, and it could just be coincidence, is the Splash tend to have better deep and even throughout red.

I’ll definitely update. I had someone tell me they have to much cushion. But they look good to me I thought at first they had round tails but since feeling it not all those feathers come out the tail bone they’re actually coming out the back and there looks like there’s new feathers coming in at the tail base. So it’s a molt I believe. And yes he’s handsome. I love there body type.
