Wyandotte breeding

Does anyone know what I might get if I breed a golden lace Wyandotte hen with a silver wyandotte rooster? I have tried the chicken calculator, but that is very complicated/

What would a golden Laced Wyandottes rooster With a Silver Laced hen? Didn't know if it would can it any. I also wanted to as What would it be if you used a columbian wyandottes rooster and a Silver laced wyandottes?

What I have for wyandottes

2- roosters of the columbian and 1- female

16- STR- sliver laced females and rooster

1 golden laced wyandottes rooster 0-females (my 1 female I had just got killed)

4- STR- Blue laced red wyandottes

Check out the sex-link sticky on information about red sex-links. I'm not sure that a silver laced rooster over gold laced hen would produce true sex-links. I think the male and female chicks would have different coloration at maturity, but I suspect that as newly hatched chicks they would be difficult if not impossible to accurately tell apart. A gold based rooster (GLW or BLRW) over a silver based hen (SLW and, I think, columbian) however should produce chicks that can be sexed at hatch based on down color. It might not be the easiest color because there is a lot of black down in the laced varieties at hatch, but on the lighter areas of down on the head and chest you should be able to see the difference between the males (which should be silver/white) and females (which should be gold/red). Mind you, I have no personal experience with this cross, this is just my understanding of what this cross should produce based on my limited knowledge of sex-links (most of which comes from the sex-link sticky on this forum).

SLW rooster with GLW hens gives SLW hens and mixed roosters. They're not distinguishable at hatch, and the first feathers that show will look silver in the roosters as well. The yellow/gold plumage won't show until the roosters could be told apart from the hens by other traits as well.

GLW rooster with SLW hens gives GLW hens and mixed roosters. Not from my experience easily distinguishable at hatch, and I usually leave them for a week or two to be sure. By then the roosters will have distinct silver colouring in the feathers that show, and the hens will clearly have gold feathers.

Your Colombian roosters over SLWs will give messy lacing in the offspring. Mixing any Colombians in with laced will wreck havoc with the lacing. Your BLW roosters over SLW hens should go the same as GLW over SLW, only the hens will be BLW in stead of GLW, but still distinguishable after a week or two.

Thank you all. So to sum it up, I will get silver hens, and mixed roos. That is ok, but I wonder what to do with those mixed roos.

The mixed roos will be split for silver and gold, meaning that bred back to either SLW or GLW they should give both SLW and GLW hens. Mix roo over GLW hens should give both GLW and mixed roos, while Mix roo over SLW hens should give both SLW and mixed roos.
