Hello all, We just picked up 6 new chicks from the local feed store. We got 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Partridge Rocks, and 2 Gold-Laced Wyandottes. Very excited! I did have a question about the Wyandotte combs...one looks totally traditional like a single comb with points, but the other one has a very flat comb, no points, and sort of rough looking. Is that normal? Does it have anything to do with the sex?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

and Welcome To BYC! X2, the Wyandottes should have rose combs, which is probably what the chick that has the flat rough comb has, the other may have a single comb, or may just be a different breed (especially if from a feed store).
