I read somewhere about crossing a silver and gold laced wyandotte and this creating autosexing chicks. and this lead me to think would the same occour if you crossed a silver laced roo with a gold partridge hen?

Nope, you got it backwards. The rooster has to have gold, the hen has to have silver. The very first post in this thread explains how it works and has charts that show which chickens you can use as roosters and which as hens.

What he said lol.

Plus, just a vocab correction--you wouldn't have autosexing chicks, you'd have sex links. Autosexing breeds breed true, sex linkage is a one time cross that doesn't carry through to the second generation.
