I have four Wyandotte hens.
Two white and black and
Two red and black.
They are all the same age 11months. They follow each other everywhere
If the red one goes one way the other red follows
If the white one is laying the other white stays near her.
I find that cute but my problem is the red and black ones are laying in the nesting box. However the white and black ones are laying on the floor with hay around it.
why are they doing that for?
Why can't they all lay in the nesting box. Its much cleaner

They will make it to the nesting boxes. It's possible they are getting kicked out of the boxes by the other 2. When you collect the eggs from the floor, mess up the "nest" they made there. It will take some time, but they will get them in the boxes for you.

Put some fake eggs/golf balls in the nests....tho after 3-4-5 months of laying it may take awhile to change their habits.
