I have Silver Laced Wyandotte hens.
I dont have a rooster but I like my hens, and wanted to try and make more that looked similar.
I bred one of my SLW hens to my CLB rooster.
The male offspring has a rose comb and is black and white, barred.
If I mate him back to another SLW hen will resulting offspring have the lacing?
How do I get the lacing back? Is it possible?

The genes that make lacing are a little crazy. Breeding him back will you get something that genetically IS lacing? Yes. Will it look quite as clean as on your SLW ladies? Maybe? You'd get roughly 1/3 or so that are considered laced, some silver, some gold/yellow. Another 1/3 would be laced and barred (not sure what that'd look like, probably varies just as barring and lacing themselves do? Probably some like him?) and another 1/3 who are pencilled and/or spangled... honestly I think it'd be a fun hatch. Who knows what you'll get but they should be fun looking :D

Did you do this cross?

Hi. My SLW rooster (who is still nameless) is 5 months old. He is from a SLW hen and a CCLB roo. His hatch mates just started laying a few weeks ago... so he is a bit immature still. He is very handsome though. I also have some 3 week old pure SLW (I hatched out purchased eggs and I am sure at least one is a rooster because even at 2 weeks old, he had a red comb.)
So I am not sure what I will do. I will probably NOT use my SLW/ CLB mutt rooster to breed, since I will have a pure bred rooster by autumn. There is a chance I will breed him with my one older wyandotte hen (she is soon to be 3) this fall. My new favourite thing is to do a hatch in November, because then all my pullets are laying in April !!
