Wyandottes

I'm trying to decide which hens to include in my small flock.
I first thought I would just have a couple of the same breeds but now I think I'd like to have several different ones for variety. Most of the breeds I think I'll pick are known for generally being docile and quite. I've read Wyandottes can be dominating. Is this so? I think the lacing is so pretty. I'd like to have one but I don't want a troublemaker.

Any experiences with Wyandottes?

I don't have that much experience with them, I have 2 that I got a few months ago and I love them! They will stand behind the others when I give them treats. I have to throw some to the back because they won't come up front.

My alfa hen is a SLW but she's not mean by any stretch of the imagination.Wyandotte's are great.

My wyandottes started out very friendly, but there is now a role reversal and the rirs are the friendly ones...mine also stay in the back! They are all the same age, the rirs are laying large eggs after one week and the wyandottes are laying small eggs, but I love them all! (chickens and eggs

I have had wyandottes for about 5 years. The hens are generaly good but the roos tend to get mean after about a year. That does not bother me but not very good if you have childern.
