wyandotts with orpingtons

Hello I am new to this site and new to the backyard chicken world. I am building a coop soon and I am trying to figure out what kind of chickens I want. I am using them for egg laying only. I really like the orpingtons and the wyandotts I have two small children and I need a friendly and good pet as well as a good layer. Can I possibly put them together? I was thinking maybe 6 total and they will also be free ranging during the day if that matters. I have heard that the orpingtons will get bullied is that true?

I don't have experience with Orpingtons, but I do have Wyandottes and several other breeds. The Wyandottes are clearly dominant, but they aren't particularly aggressive, and have never badly harmed the other birds. They just keep order in the coop with a few pecks and puffed up posturing. Orpingtons may be a little more docile than Wyandottes, but I don't think they would get picked on much, especially if they are raised together.
