YAH! Go Rowdy! Go Rowdy!

Two of my chicks learned to roost on a very low roost a couple of days ago; mama taught them how. My once handicapped chick Rowdy just couldn't seem to get the hang of it though, due in large part to his balance issues.

I was just out in the coop. I saw Rowdy watch his brother and sister hop up to the roost and then he jumped on up there.

Go Rowdy! Go Rowdy! You've come a long way.

'Course the chicks were only using the roost as a step towards jumping on mama's back, but still.....

It takes confidence in one's balance to jump......... So

Rowdy! It takes more confidence and lots of practice to ROOST and sleep at the same time. Better to roost on Mama for a while, first.

My current batch are the first I've had who jump on mom, and they do it all the time. Enjoy while you can!
