I too, think you will have sweet dreams tonight, cause I think you have
All pullets there. I have about a dozen rir hens and 1 roo, and my roo had
A much larger comb and wattles at 4-5 weeks old. At 8 weeks, you would see
An incredible difference between the two of them that it would be obvious
That you had a roo.
If for some reason he is a late bloomer and all of us are wrong, (its happened
Before), let me know and I will take him and give him a very good home.
We are almost neighbors anyways, I am just outside of Burlington off of 62.
I could use another rir roo to go with all the hens I have.
Take care, and sweet dreams. I don't think you have a need to worry tho.
my 6 week old roos are crowing already, watch when you let them out. ok its not actually a crow but its a very good attempt. ... the noise its making is it raising its head and stretching its body when its doing it?
Looks like a pullet to me too. BUT the attempt at crowing is a little strange for a girl. I'd just wait a few more weeks and see how it goes. If you have to rehome it and get another, why not get two around the same age as the others? That way they will be on equal terms and not have one be an outsider.

Thanks for your generous offer. Hope I don't have to take you up on it. And thanks for making me feel better about the RIR roo situation. I just want girlies.
