Yard Roost?

Mine free range all day. Does anyone put roosts in their yard? I'd really like a chair to sit in!

So, I put this Roost up, but they're back in the chair.

I have an enclosed run but mounted two big tree branches and the girls are on them all the time!

I like to tip the chair over out there. They can still perch on it, but it doesn't result in poop all over the seat. Just flip it upright for the humans to sit.

It's the nesting box conundrum all over again they don't want what they can have they want what someone else has and they can try to steal

I tip it over at night, but I sit in it during the day. If I get up to get another beer, they're all over it by the time I get back!

That is so true. I never know if my dog or my chickens will have taken over my chair when I get back!

LOL on them stealing your chair. I don't need to put any roosts in my yard. I have 3 large fig trees that they love roosting in for shade and protection. However, yesterday I was kind of appalled when I came home to see them roosting on the neighbor's chain link fence right over their pitbull and german shephard. Dang chickens.... they go where they want. BTW, I'm not THAT kind of neighbor. I pay them off in eggs and they say they LOVE having the chickens in their yard.
