I have not checked the nest boxes in 3 days because I didn’t think my hens would lay til spring. But this morning I found one egg in the run and two in the box!
YAY!
Now is my chance to convince my husband we NEED more chickens this year. ;0).
He told me that people are complaining about the cost of eggs.
And we only buy organic eggs.
So if I continue our conversation from this afternoon I’d say by summer I will have at least 2,3,4,5,6,...10 more chicks!
Left to right on how I think they were laid? They fit nicely in this cute little egg holder my sister bought me.
Also, saw this and wanted to share....
