My Black Australorp hen, Rosa has gone broody, and is sitting on 6 eggs. Woohoo!! She has been sitting for 2 days now, so we still have a while to go before babies come, but how exciting!! Third broody so far this year![IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Hi Crittercrazy, I'm in Lockwood, NY, just about 15 miles from Owego! My sister lives in Binghamton, in Ashbury Court!!! I too just got a broody, my light Brahma, Snow! She's been setting for about 14 days so far. She only has 7 eggs under her but we are ever hopeful! Let me know how you make out. This is the first broody I've ever had so , wish me luck!!!! I'm sure the chicks will all be mutts, but I have such a wide selection, they ought to be interesting looking!!!![IMG]

Is the feather-footed gene dominant or recessive. If I have brahma-cross chicks will they have feathers on their feet or not?
