YAY! My Home-Made incubator is complete! PIC HEAVY!

Very nicely done! My plan this spring is to build a coop for a few Nankins who will hopefully hatch some Pyncheon eggs from HinkJC. They will be my new incubators!

And to think how proud I was of my Omaha Steak box.

That's awesome. If my DH would build me something like that, that's how I would know he truly loved me.

Geesh - your 'bator puts all the plans I've drawn up to shame.

It's magnificent - and I don't usually use that adjective to describe homemade appliances. You don't mind if I steal your entire design, do you?

Hey girl that's a great looking bator. BTW, what kind of thermostat did you use? I tried a hot water one and despite modification, I can't get it to stop the big temp swings. Finally broke down and ordered a wafer set up from Cutler supply. bj

happyhens & Junkmanme, Yes I already have a fan in there, it's all the way to the right in the pictures, but I just moved it to the back right in the middle, hoping to distribute the heat more evenly.

Annarie Steal away! This was actually a box I found in a strage unit where I live/work that is filled with abandoned item we sell in garage sales, I had no Idea it was in there! I also found the PC fan, the butter turn and the window frame in there too!

ParadisePoultry, I used a digital thermostat I got on ebay, you can check it out here.

Thanks everybody! I actually made a styrofoam cooler bator a few days before this, but wasn't happy with the size, then when I found this box I decided to turn it into a bator!

It does differ right now, about a degree, but I just repositioned the fan hoping to more evenly distribute the heat, I'll let you know if it works.

could you post a closer pic of how you wired in & out the digital thermostat? i went to the website and it looks like something i'd like to try in one of my experiments of building a bator.

Here's a wiring Diagram that Deek248 gave me, I can post a picture, but it will have to be later (I need hubby's laptop to download pictures).
