Yay!! Our first chicks!!!!

Hi all our chicks started hatching last night, all tho i was a bit concerned being only day 20 but all seem health and fine, just moved them to there brooder, still waiting on the others to hatch. Today is day 21. This is our first time using our homemade incubator and its so cool watching chicks hatch. Six out of the 20 have hatched so far.

i haven't had that much success myself with incubating eggs. But i happy for you

Well there seems to be no activity at all with the remaining 14 eggs But this was the first time ever i tried incubating eggs and the first incubator i ever made. I am happy that i got six health peeps I didnt store the eggs right i know and i have no idea how old they were either, so my next run is going to be the freshest from my hens.

Candle the unhatched eggs before you toss them out. Some may still be alive.
